SIMON Ferry is adamant the Swindon squad will take to the field against Bradford tomorrow eager to show exactly why they are League Two champions.
Town wrapped up the title last weekend against Port Vale with a week to spare, but Ferry is convinced they will not take their foot of the gas at Valley Parade, and pull out one last big performance.
“It is just another game, because as soon as the game starts you just want to win, and there is no game you go into as a professional player not wanting to win,” he said.
“Everyone is bang on it in training, and we want to go out there and show people why we are the champions.
“It is the first time in a long time that we have had a game which doesn’t really mean anything, but Bradford will be wanting to put in a good performance for their last game at home.
“They will want to win it for their fans, and we want to win it for ours too, so it should have the makings of a very good game.”
Ferry is looking forward to the season being over, and to what will be an eventful summer for him and his partner.
“I am looking forward to the seeing my family at the end of the season, and I will go up there as soon as I can,” he said. “My partner and I have a baby coming soon so we need to get all that stuff in for then, and I will also see some of my mates I have not seen for ages.
“My friend is having a stag do in Marbella too, so that will be good.”
