WILTSHIRE mens’ Four Rink League play-offs commence this weekend.
In Area B, the annual battle for the top two places between Chippenham Town, Wootton Bassett and Westlecot has seen Chippenham miss out this year.
Wootton Bassett, on 190 points, topped the group, with holders Westlecot second on 175 while Chippenham Town scored 164 points.
Area A was won by Highworth, who totalled 230 points, well clear of Swindon West End on 199 points, while in the south of the county the usual suspects Amesbury and Alderbury qualified, the former on 124 points with Alderbury on 107.
In the west section, Holt cruised to top spot in Area C on 195 points but there was a big battle for second place between Winsley, Avon and Trowbridge Westbourne, with Spencer Moulton struggling for players this season.
Winsley clinched second spot, albeit on shots difference, over Avon after both finished on 128 points while Trowbridge Westbourne were fourth on 121.
