PENHILL ABC took three boxers to East Ham in London, with Simon Knowles losing a unanimous points decision to Barking's Billy Moughton at 35kg level.
Knowles came out with a sharp double left jab, catching his opponent and then boxing cleverly off the back foot.
But after failing to land a punch in the opening round, Moughton upped the tempo in the second and had more success with a clean jab and fast combination punches, forcing Knowles to take a mandatory eight count from the referee.
In the third, both came out throwing punches, Moughton winning the verdict.
It was a closer affair for Penhill's Adam Goddard at 62kg level, although he came out second best on a majority verdict against Dagenham ABC's Jamie Harris.
But James Tasker's hopes were short-lived as he was stopped at the end of the first round by Smith, of Royson ABC, at 64kg level.
