Walcot boxer Ryan Martin will go for glory on Saturday when he contests the Royal Navy Junior ABA Finals at the Metrodome in Barnsley.
He will meet Midlands area champion Steed Woodhall in a class four, 70kgs decider.
The 16-year-old Greendown pupil will be looking to add to the three national titles he has already won during his Walcot career.
He was national schoolboy champion in 2007 and 2009, and he has already won the NACYP title this season.
Martin said: “I’m really looking forward to the bout on Saturday.
“Woodhall has a very good record but I’m confident in my own ability.
“I must thank my coach Harry Scott for all his hard work with me, and I hope to make it all worthwhile.”
Veteran coach Scott is also eagerly anticipating the final, saying: “Ryan is a class act and on his day he is a match for anyone.
“But make no mistake, this will be a tough contest as Woodhall is a top lad too.
“However, to compete in a national final is what we aim for each season, and the main thing is we’re there and will be doing our best to succeed.”
The action will get underway at 1.30pm on Saturday and spectators can pay on the door.
