VINCENZO Granato avenged his only ever defeat by beating Cullem Slade of Empire ABC.
The Horseshoe ABC fighter lost to Slade at the Next Generation Sports Centre in February, but put the record straight in Bristol in style.
Granato went into the ring and executed his game plan well, and moved well from side to side as he sent in a number of counter punches, knocking his opponent’s head back.
Slade, the bigger and taller boxer, came out for the second round and had a good go but Granato stuck to his boxing and finished the round well.
Coach Dave Carpenter was surprised to see Slade come out for the third round, but the Horseshoe man was in no mood to let things sip and ran out a comfortable winner.
The club is holding its final show of a very successful first year at the end of the amateur boxing season on June 16 at the Next Generation Sports Centre at Kembrey Park.
All of the club’s boxers are set to appear on the bill which starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 from the club or by calling Brian Roberts on 07960009472.
