Goatacre notched up a second successive victory as they won by 17 runs at Cheltenham.
Ed Kilbee hit 53 whilst opener Ed Wilkins made 31 to get the visitors up and running.
Cheltenham’s Matt Jennings took 3-28 as Goatacre were dismissed for 209.
In reply, skipper Dawson piled on the pressure as he took 4-42.
Cheltenham were all out for 192 in the 44th over.
In the Glos/Wilts Division Rockhampton beat Swindon by six wickets at the County Ground.
Matt Kidd’s 55 was not enough as Swindon made 174 all out. Matt Tyler’s 70 not out saw Rockhampton to a comfortable win.
Despite Purton’s Tom Bowler scoring 74 on their way to 194-8 they lost by three wickets to new champions Burbage in this Wiltshire Division top of the table clash Mark Sheppard’s 53 not out was enough to stop Nationwide House slipping to a 10 wicket defeat against Winsley.
In the Wiltshire League Malmesbury put themselves in the title box seat with a 103 run win over Brad-on-Avon. Jack Ward and James Gillespie both scoring tons to post 293-6 before restricting Bradford to 190-6.
Wootton Bassett went down by four wickets to Collingbourne after posting 141 all out, to slip behind in the Division One title race.
