LECHLADE Cricket Club has begun preparations for the new season with nets sessions at Fairford sports centre.
The club is using a newly purchased bowling machine, youth cricket coaching kit and equipment provided by grant funding from Gloucestershire Community Foundation.
Further grants and loans were made available for work on redeveloping outdoor nets, installing an artificial wicket and tender plans for a pavilion redevelopment.
The club is also actively seeking new members/players young and old. Anyone interested can contact Paul Rowley on 07967 480666.
Net sessions take place on Sundays (4.55-5.55pm) and are £3 for adults and £2 for juniors, with the club having sole use of four nets for eight succesive weeks (excluding Easter Sunday).
