CRICKET:Gloucestershire must again make do without Jon Lewis for the Liverpool Victoria County Championship encounter against Northamptonshire at Bristol.
The seamer, whose involvement with England A ruled him out of the defeat by Surrey last week, has been called up to the Test squad.
"Jon's performances have been consistent over the last few years, and he has started the season very well," said coach Mark Alleyne.
"Whether he plays for England we don't know they need to get the dynamic of their bowling attack right.
"But we're all hoping Jon is successful if he does play."
Ian Harvey is available after recovering from the forearm injury which prevented him batting in the second innings against Surrey.
Giles has been plagued by injuries since last summer and has ruled himself out of the Test series against Sri Lanka, which starts at Lord's tomorrow.
But he aims to be ready for the first Test of the summer's second Test series, against Pakistan, which begins at Lord's on July 13.
"We think we have got to the bottom of my problems. It seems to be a dodgy groin," Giles said.
