SWINDON and Goatacre will both have points to prove when the two sides meet at the County Ground in the West of England League Glos/Wilts Two tomorrow.

Both sides are looking for their opening wins of the campaign after ending up on the wrong end of first-day results last week.

Swindon were beaten by Westbury, while Goatacre were defeated by Warminster at home.

  • CIRENCESTER travel to Cinderford hoping to maintain their 100 per cent start to the Gloucestershire County League season.

The team welcome back skipper Andy Reynolds in place of ex-Frocester man Ally Bray who is unavailable, while Andy Cooper takes over the wicket-keeper's gloves from Matt Carter.

There is a 2pm start at the Park for the 2nd XI who entertain Cinderford, planning to get back to winning ways after last Saturday's hiccup against Tewkesbury.

The Third XI are also at home (2.15 pm), facing Malmesbury 3rds.

Stand-in captain Steve Harris leads a side with a nice balance of very experienced players and youngsters starting their senior cricket careers.

On Sunday at 2.30pm, the Friendly XI welcome near neighbours Amney Crucis to the Park.

Shrivenham 1st play in the first round of the Airey Cup, away to Marcham.

Danny Lloyd's side welcome back Gordon Aitken and include James Crowder, and will seek to avenge their opening day league defeat by the same team.

The 2nd XI will hope to start their season off with a home fixture against Freeland.

Martin Hammond will lead the side which will include youngsters Andy Bowles and Alex Kill.
