JON Lewis has finally earned his Test debut after a surprise inclusion in England's npower series finale against Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge. starting this morning.
The Swindon swing bowler has featured in numerous test squads over the past couple of years but his international experience so far has been limited to three one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match.
Lewis, 30, replaces Lancashire pacemen Sajjid Mahmood in the only change from the team that won at Edgbaston last weekend.
The Gloucestershire skipper must have felt he was never going to be given the nod after just missing out on several occasions but now gets his chance to impress ahead of the Ashes series in Australia.
