WOOTTON Bassett Ladies were defeated 3-0 away in a keen contest against Plymouth Marjons, who are fourth in West Clubs Premier Division Two.
Plymouth were two goals up at half-time following numerous short corners.
Katy Cox played well as first striker, and 14-year-old Teagan Buchanan performed valiantly in her debut in goal.
The hosts increased their tally to three in the second half, but further chances were thwarted.
Sue Lee and Zara Salisbury were players of the match, and on Saturday, Bassett are at home against Chippenham, 1pm start.
Bassett 2nds friendly against Chippenham was postponed by the opposition. On Saturday they play Bretforton 2nd at home in Severn Division One, 11.30am start.
Bassett 3rds performed well away at Gloucester 4th, but lost 3-0 in a keen contest.
Gloucester scored once before half-time, and added two more in the second half.
Becky Johnson was player of the match, and on Saturday they are home to Stroud 2nd in Severn Division Three, 10am start.
