SWIMMING: TIGERSHARKS A took the honours at the Link Centre in the first round in Division One of the Moonraker Summer League.
They came out on top by eight points in their battle with Swindon Dolphin A, with Trowbridge A third and Chippenham A a distant fourth.
Sharks A took an early narrow lead in the first quarter and although the gala points remained close they never looked back with some great battles between all four teams.
However, Tigersharks produced 27 winners in the 50 events and were runners-up in 12 others.
These excellent performances ensured the team took pole position overall on the night.
Dolphin accrued 19 victories, with 14 coming from individual performances.
Twelve personal best times were set, with two club records falling to Tilly Gray, who took the girls' 50 metres butterfly title en route to a short-course club record over 100 metres, touching in 1:05.73 seconds.
Andrea Alleyne looks set to become the first Dolphin girl to break the one-minute barrier in the 100m freestyle, after equalling her club record in 1:00.26 in a classic encounter with Tigersharks' Jazz Carlin, which saw the Commonwealth star overhaul her opponent in the closing few metres.
Melanie Agius smashed her previous best in the girls' under 16 100m freestyle to close in 1:00.95 seconds and finish second.
Dolphin's double victors included Jon Audis (individual medley and backstroke), Katie Carter (breaststroke and freestyle) and Cathal Westman (breaststroke and freestyle) while in the relay contests, the open team of Audis, Andi Manley, Nigel Masters and Mark Tanner equalled their under 14 counterparts of Tim Berry, Liam Herbert, Peter Wasielewski and Cathal Westman by winning both freestyle and medley races.

n SHARKS B were locked in a closely fought two-horse race with Salisbury A in Division Three.
They were the only B side in attendance therefore had their work cut out but battled hard and put up a strong fight.
Triple individual wins were gained by team captain Hayley Wood in the 100m back, free and individual medley.
