ANGLING: SOME of the larger tench showed at Ridgeway Fisheries at the the weekend, despite appalling weather.
Simon Jones caught three in his second place bag on Monday. Odd larger carp showed, with a common of 7lb 7oz caught by Elick Paine on Sunday and a mirror of 8lb 4oz caught by Kevin Rolls on Monday.
The fish have moved up in the water and were mostly caught halfway across the section with soft pellet or corn on the hook.

Rolf's lake spring league round five: Mick Lane had a match win and section first for 175-0-0, fishing the long pole up in the water.The other two team members, Phil Powell and John Bennett, both had second in sections with 109-0-0 and 104-0-0. The team of three came first on the day. Phil Powell won the Wednesday Open at Rolf's with 190-0-0 fishing the pole and paste down the edge.
