TWO teams from Swindon School of Gymnastics performed brilliantly in the Western League competition at Port Regis Gymnastics Club in Dorset.
This league is made up of clubs from all over the south west of England and the Swindon girls got off to a great start.
There were gold medals for the senior team after winning their age group. The side was made up of Siona McAteer, Emma Hall, Josie McAteer, Gemma Adams and Darcey Downes.
The junior team of Ciara Mikeli, Gipsy Viveash, Charlotte Brooker, Ellie Swift, Chloe Cockshull and Larissa Emms finished second in their age group and took home silver medals.
Anyone interested in joining the club, which is currently doubling the size of its purpose-built gym on the Isis Industrial Estate, should visit www.ssg-gymnastics.co.uk.
The club is holding a free taster session for non-member junior school children on Sunday, April 4, from 2-4pm.
To register for one of the 50 places up for grabs, email ssginfo@tiscali.co.uk with your child’s name and date of birth.
