JAYNE Parker took victory by a comfortable margin in the Marlborough Downs Challenge 20-mile trail race.
The Swindon Triathlon Club athlete completed the demanding off-road course in a time of 2:31.20, more than six minutes ahead of Compton Harrier Lucy Gettins.
Ann Lonie of Swindon Striders completed the top three as she finished the course in 2:42.35.
The winner of the men’s equivalent race was Long Eaton’s Dicky Wilkinson in a time of 2:13.35, followed by Martin Fray and Mark Richards.
In the brutal 33-mile men’s trail race, Allen Smalls of Colchester Harriers blazed to a new course record of 3:51.33.
Abingdon Amblers’ Paul Fernandez and Brighton & Hove’s Stuart Mills were second and third respectively.
In the ladies’ race, Kate Bailey of Team RunFurther also set a course record of 4:20.13.
Sarah Rowell and Sue Sleath made up the remainder of the top three.
