SWINDON-BORN Hannah Miley booked her place at the Olympics after winning the 400m individual medley final at the national trials in London.
Miley required a top-two place to reach the Games and did it in style, recording a World best time of 4:37.48 en route to victory.
"I am really chuffed with how it went, it felt great. The crowd and the atmosphere was electric," said Miley.
"I wasn't really expecting that time.
"I am really chuffed with how it went, it felt great. "The crowd and the atmosphere was electric so it is going to be really exciting how it is going to be at the Olympic Games.
"It's taken a huge pressure off me knowing I've made it, I've done what I needed to do. I can hopefully enjoy the rest of the competition."
Melksham's Rachel Williams failed to join Miley in the final while Swindon's Tilly Gray bowed out of the 100m butterfly trial at the semi-final stage.
Trowbridge swimmer Chloe Davies just missed out on an Olympic place, finishing third in the MC 200m freestyle final while Corsham's Stephanie Millward also suffered disappointment as she she came sixth in the MC 400m freestyle final.
Swindon's Craig Harris missed out in the heats of the MC 200m freestyle while Trowbridge's Aaron Moores reached the final only to finish sixth.
