NICKY Henderson has today become the all-time leading Cheltenham trainer.
Henderson's charge Simonsig, ridden by Barry Geraghty, triumphed in the NIM Novices' Hurdle this afternoon, meaning Henderson progressed to 41 Cheltenham winners, moving him one clear of nearest rival Fulke Walwyn.
And the Lambourn trainer latterly collected a 42nd winner after Geraghty piloted Bobs Worth to success in the RSA Chase.
That figure became 43 when Geraghty collected his third triumph of the afternoon, steering Finian's Rainbow just ahead of Sizing Europe to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
And Henderson's fourth winner duly arrived in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle, courtesy of 40-1 shot Une Artiste, piloted by Jeremiah McGrath.
