THE eyes of the gambling world will be on Blunsdon tomorrow afternoon for the first running of the BAGS/SIS Easter Bunny Grand Finals.
The event is the culmination of months of racing at 17 tracks up and down the country, with the winners all making it through to finals day in Swindon.
Of 14 races on the card, nine are finals, run over Standard, Sprint and Stayers categories, and £12,000 of prizemoney will be up for grabs on the day.
Greyhound expert Jonathan Hobbs said: “With no horse racing on Good Friday, the focus of the gambling community and betting shops will be on the dogs in Swindon.
“It is the main event of the weekend and it should be great entertainment.”
Swindon will have two runners in each of the categories, with a number of dogs tipped to do well.
Entry is free with the first race at 2.08pm, while there is also a raffle with the chance to win an Easter bunny.
