SWINDON Wildcats have added a familiar face to their roster ahead of the 2010/11 English Premier League campaign.
Former Cats fan favourite Ryan Watt returns to the Link Centre after brief spells at Bracknell Bees and Slough Jets - where the explosive winger made a significant impact in the Berkshire side’s play-off charge last season.
Watt, 20, last wore Wildcats colours during the 2008/09 season, and has represented Great Britain at youth international level as well as racking up Elite League experience.
Watt registered a points return of 36 from 50 appearances last term, and Cats player-coach Ryan Aldridge is delighted with his latest acquisition.
“It is great to have Ryan back in a Swindon jersey,” said Aldridge. “I've known him for a few years and know what he is capable of. People have not yet seen him fulfil his potential and I want to be the coach to bring that out of him.
“He knows the situation here and that he has a chance to shine, particularly as he continues to mature. I like what he brings to the table - a high level of skill, passion and good points production."”
