SWINDON Wildcats’ fans are set to see the best of Matt Foord after the forward agreed to sign for a second year at the Link Centre.
Cats coach Ryan Aldridge believes the 29-year-old will hit new heights in the EPL after taking time to settle in at the Link last term.
Aldridge said: “I am excited to see Foordy back this year. He’s a confidence player that can take time to get used to his surroundings.
“Second year in and I know that he is ready to step it up another level. He is one of those guys that I think of as the core of this team.”
Aldridge also believes Foord’s physicality on the ice combined with high-energy leadership will be a massive boost to Swindon’s forward line.
The coach added: “He (Foord) puts his body on the line and loves to do the jobs that most guys hate - a real team player and one that I’m delighted to have in Cats’ colours.”
