PETER Kildemand was the big winner at the Swindon Robins’ end of season Dinner and Dance on Saturday.
The Dane picked up the Rider of the Year award, voted by readers of the Advertiser, for the second year in a row by beating Troy Batchelor into second with Nick Morris in third place.
Kildemand enjoyed another spectacular season at the Abbey Stadium having initially joined at the beginning of the 2012 season and was proud to receive the award at the De Vere hotel.
“I had a really good year at Swindon and I think I did pretty well so it’s nice to win an award voted for by the fans,” he said.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported me and the team all year because it was a tough year but to win this award again is really good.”
Other award winners included Ashley Birks, who won the Bob Kilby Trapper of the Year award, while Edward Kennett and Nick Morris shared the bonus points crown.
Volunteer Ritchie Leniec won the Unsung Hero Award for his work behind the scenes.
