SWINDON Robins meeting tonight with Lakeside Hammers has been postponed due to rain with the fixture now moved to this Thursday, August 28.
The Robins have agreed a fixture switch which will now see
Wolverhampton, who were scheduled to visit this week, will move to next Thursday, September 4.
The change has come about due to rider availability issues for Wolves, with the clubs agreeing to switch fixtures in the best interests of the sport and the supporters.
Robins chief Alun Rossiter said: “With fixture clashes in Sweden it was looking like Wolves would have to come here with no facility for a couple of riders in their top five, and of course they also unfortunately have Tai (Woffinden) injured at the moment.
“Whilst this is obviously an important match for us and we need the points, we also want to put on a competitive and credible meeting for the supporters.
“I have confidence in our team, especially given the form they have shown at home lately, and this change means we should have a proper spectacle over the next couple of weeks.
“Our thanks again to Lakeside for agreeing to the change, and we look forward to welcoming them on Thursday.”
