SWINDON Robins today announced their two Associate Partners for the 2008 speedway season.

Buoyed by the news of a potential stadium redevelopment at Blunsdon, Robins have confirmed George White Superbikes and M&S Van and Truck Rentals as Associate Partners for the new campaign, which is just over a month away.

George White Superbikes was formed by Swindon Robins' legend George White, and has grown into the largest independent motorbike dealer in the country.

The company's business manager James Heslop said: "We are very excited about our connection with Swindon and, due to the upsurge of interest in the sport locally and nationally, this is the right time to be associated with the club."

M&S Van and Truck Rentals will be Associate Partners for a second successive year after supporting the Robins in 2007.

Managing Director Mike Sykes said he was delighted to be linking up with the team again.

He said: "Swindon Speedway is a progressive sporting club and I see M&S Van and Truck Rentals in the same light, having expanded significantly in recent years."

Robins' commercial manager Paul Oughton described the involvement of both George White and M&S as "wonderful news" for Swindon Speedway.

He said: "Not only does the future of the club look secure with a new stadium on the horizon, but it is also great that companies want to be associated with the team, due to its success both on and off the track and the high profile gained by it."
