ROBINS scheduled league match last night against Belle Vue fell foul of the weather. Overnight rain in Manchester and further rain in the morning left the track waterlogged.
There was a better forecast for later in the day but with the rain hammering down at 1.30pm it left Aces promoter Ian Thomas with no alternative but to call the meeting off.
No re-staging day for this Elite League B fixture has been agreed yet.
In the past few season Aces and Robins matches in Manchester have suffered badly from the weather.
And this latest postponement was the Pebley Beach-backed Robins second washout on the road in the space of four days.
On Friday night the match at Coventry was curtailed just after the teams had been paraded.
"It is disappointing to have two away matches in a row called off," said Swindon team manager Alun Rossiter.
"After the recent run of wins the team were on a high and I was confident of a couple of good results after the fine home win over Coventy on Thursday.
"Unfortunately Belle Vue and Swindon matches do not have a very good record with the weather.
"That was our third away match to be rained off already this season."
Rossiter added: "Sorting out re-staging dates at the moment is the least of my worries. I am struggling for a team for Thursday in the league against Wolverhampton.
"Adrian Miedzinski is unavailable as he is riding in a Polish Championship meeting and as he is still at reserve until the end of the month it is hard replacing him.
"Ritchie Hawkins, our No 8, is not available either so I have to look towards the Premier League to replace him.
"His average is low at the moment so it is proving extremely difficult finding someone.''
