SWINDON skipper Leigh Adams admits his Grand Prix struggles are leaving him "sick.'' Adams has been racking up the points for his sides in their respective domestic leagues, but success on the world scene continues to elude him.
He failed to reach the final in either of the opening two Grand Prix of the campaign, despite looking the form man, before a power failure in the semi-finals in the opening round in Slovenia.
Ahead of this weekend's Swedish Grand Prix, which he won in 2004, Adams told www.speedwayworld.tv: "I'm sick of giving reasons for not getting a good result and even more sick of reading those reasons in print.
"I can't tell you how difficult it is to try and put on a happy face when you score countless wins around Europe each week and things turn pear-shaped at the Grand Prix.
"But I'm feeling extremely positive about this weekend.
"We have spent countless hours fixing the electrical woes of recent times and it's all systems go for Saturday.
"I definitely need a strong result to keep myself in the title hunt."
