SWINDON have been robbed of a full-strength team for tonight's visit to Poole after skipper Simon Stead was told to rest for the next 10 days.

Stead will miss out tonight and against Birmingham tomorrow and Friday because of rib damage he sustained in Poland almost a month ago.

Robins have drafted in Danish duo Nicolai Klindt and Jesper B. Monberg to bolster their squad and both are in contention to cover for Stead's programmed rides.

Robins co-owner Gary Patchett said: "It never rains, it pours.

"Just as we thought we had a full seven-man team we had this news that Simon has to rest, which we fully respect and understand.

"It's better we use the rider replacement facility rather than Simon trying to do himself justice and not scoring the points we know he can. His target is to return for our meeting with Eastbourne on May 2.

"This way, the team can cover for him and I can assure everyone our new signings, Jesper and Nic, can't wait to get started."
