HEAT DETAILS
Heat 1: Iversen, Morris, Nermark, Batchelor (R), 66.30 (2-4)
Tight first bend. Morris nips inside Nermark on the inside of bend two while Batchelor slips to the back. Batchelor retires on bend four of lap three.
Heat 2 (re-run): Kildemand, Howe, Aspegren, Palm-Toft, 66.74 (6-6)
Tapes didn't go up properly. On the second attempt Howe jumped out first but Kildemand was past him by the first bend. That’s how it stays. Bends one and two are looking a bit slippy.
Heat 3 (re-run): Korneliussen, Stead, Doyle, Wolbert, 67.27 (9-9)
The tapes mess up again. On the re-run Doyle temporarily zips past Korneliussen into the lead on the back straight, but the Dane bites back before the end of lap one. Stead gets into second on the back straight of lap two and is mighty close to Korneliussen at the finish.
Heat 4: Kildemand, Andersen, Janowski, Palm-Toft, 67.21 (14-10)
Brilliant start by Kildemand and it wins him the race. He looks every bit as good as last week. Work carries out on the tapes between races.
Heat 5: Nermark, Stead, Iversen, Doyle, 67.93 (16-14)
Not quite sure where Nermark pulled that one from. The King's Lynn man gated and won. Stead passea Doyle on the home straight of lap two and would have got Nermark with another lap, while Iversen powers past Doyle in the latter stages.
Heat 6: Morris, Janowski, Batchelor, Howe, 68.64 (20-16)
It’s another frustrating start to a meeting for Batchelor. Janowski smoothly passes him on the inside on bend one lap two. Morris does a cracking job to keep Janowski out of top spot.
Heat 7: Korneliussen, Andersen, Aspegren, Wolbert, 67.98 (23-19)
Korneliussen really knows how to rip round those boards. Andersen only gets close to him in the last half-lap or so.
Heat 8 (re-run): Morris, Kildemand, Nermark, Howe (FX), 68.99 (28-20)
Bend two has looked a touch slippy all night, and Howe has just found that out the hard way, crashing onto his backside seconds into the race. He is excluded. On the re-run Nermark gates, but with the Stars man and Kildemand bumping about on the outside of bend two, Morris takes the lead. Nermark slows in the latter stages.
Heat 9: Stead, Janowski, Doyle, Palm-Toft, 68.24 (32-22)
Absolutely brilliant battle between Stead and Janowski, who exchange the lead several times. Janowski very nearly takes the Yorkshireman on the line. Swindon starting to turn the screw now.
Heat 10: Korneliussen (tac), Morris, Batchelor, Howe, 69. 08 (35-28)
Korneliussen rides the Abbey really, really well sometimes, and he's done it again. From the gate.
Heat 11: Andersen, Iversen, Aspegren, Nermark, 68.39 (39-30)
Swindon are very lucky to end up with a 4-2. Iversen locks up and drops to the back after leading out of the gate, while Nermark crashes with no one near him on lap three. Iversen recovers to finish second.
Heat 12: Korneliussen, Stead, Howe, Kildemand, 68.61 (41-34)
Running out of superlatives for Korneliussen now. He's been the best rider by a mile tonight. Kildemand actually drops a place for once, after being passed by Howe in the closing stages.
Heat 13: Andersen, Janowski, Iversen, Batchelor, 68.49 (44-37)
All four riders close on the first corner, but Batchelor drops to the back. He retires before the end of lap one. Andersen rides a strong race out front.
Heat 14: Doyle, Kildemand, Howe, Wolbert, 69.68 (49-38)
If ever there was a timely 5-1, that was it. Doyle takes it on, while Kildemand does the dirty work of blocking off Howe. Great team-riding.
Heat 15: Janowski, Iversen, Andersen, Morris (R), 67.58 (50-43)
It's a 5-1 for King's Lynn but it's academic now. Surely Korneliussen should have been given heat 15?
