TRUST STFC board member Alex Pollock updates Adver Sport on the latest goings on inside the supporter group.
It’s been just over a month since Clem was given the green light by The EFL for his takeover of STFC, and one thing’s for certain: we’re back from the brink!
The feel-good factor has returned, and the Swindon faithful have a club and ownership that we can take a great pride in.
Both home and away games have been well-supported, shirts have been flying from the shelves, and the uptake of season tickets has been remarkable. Please keep encouraging your friends and family to head to games to get behind the team, and let’s push to hit the 6k target for season tickets!
Whilst we’ve seen plenty of coverage of the happenings at SN1, the Trust has been busy behind the scenes working hard to develop closer relations with the club.
Last week, we had two significant developments: we were delighted to have produced and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the club, and we also presented four worthy recipients with ‘Trust Hero’ awards.
Our new MoU with the club commits both parties to share relevant information and discuss issues of mutual concern during regular meetings. The contents of our MOU are largely based around Clem Morfuni’s vision for the club, and commitments that he made to supporters when replying to our open letter back in February this year.
Trust Hero awards are usually reserved for supporters who have gone above and beyond to make an impact and improve our community, but last week we gave these out for slightly different reasons, namely around the ownership situation outcome.
Clem Morfuni, Colin West QC, Eddie Parladori and James Maton were hugely grateful to receive their awards.
You can view more on both of these matters via our website.
If you’re considering joining TrustSTFC to support our work and have your say, you can do so via www.redarmyfund.co.uk, where there are a range of free and paid-for membership levels.
Members of our board are currently finalising rewards for all levels of membership, and have recently placed an order for red rewards, which will go to all members. We should have some news available within the next few weeks on these.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you back at The County Ground this Saturday, and hoping for another entertaining home display against Mansfield! COYR!
