Swindon Town manager Mike Flynn says his side must be wary of Crawley Town’s dangermen ahead of Saturday's clash at the County Ground.

Flynn has made a promising start to life in the Town hotseat, with a win and two League Two draws so far.

Town face the Red Devils - bossed by former manager Scott Lindsey - in their fourth league game of the campaign and will be looking to protect their unbeaten record.

But Flynn warned: “Scott (Lindsey) has got them playing really well, they’ve got a lot of rotations.

“They’ve got Dom Telford, who's deadly in the box, Ronan (Darcy)’s there and Nick Tsaroulla at left wing-back is very good.

“Will Wright who was brought in from Gillingham is very good at taking set-pieces so we need to watch him around the area.

“They play with a lot of freedom and Scott seems to have got a good group together that are enjoying playing for Crawley Town.”

The Town manager is aiming to combat these threats with a tight gameplan on Saturday.

“We have to play our game, cut out the mistakes and be confident on the ball,” said Flynn.

“We need to overload them in certain areas with two v ones and three v twos, have good deliveries into the box and have our shooting boots on.

“I would be very happy with a 1-0 after watching last week’s excitement.

“It's going to be a tough game and we have got to be at our best to get the three points.”

Town’s last league match ended in agonising fashion with Flynn’s men conceding a last-minute equaliser in a 10-goal thriller at Wrexham.

Having led 4-1 at half-time, the visitors eventually settled for a 5-5 draw after Elliot Lee’s equaliser at the death.

Flynn is happy with his team’s mentality following the match but believes that some anger will still be in the tank at the County Ground this weekend.

“The players have recovered and in terms of having a little left in them, they should have that anyway,” he said.

“It doesn’t matter whether we won the game 5-4, they would have still had that frustration that they let them score that many.

“They’re in a good mindset and the important thing is that they have taken on board what I have said them and hopefully they keep improving on that.”

The hosts  will be without the injured Reece Devine and Tom Clayton for Crawley’s visit.

Saturday’s League Two clash will kick-off at 3pm.
