AT the recent Annual General Meeting of the Swindon branch of the British Heart Foundation it was reported that over the past year the group has raised £29,478.75.
This is an amazing total for our small band of volunteers, but none of it would have been possible without the wonderful generosity of the people of Swindon.
This is doubly emphasised by the generosity of the residents of Stratton, who, on a rainy Saturday helped us to raise a further £387 at their annual festival.
The British Heart Foundation is the nation’s heart charity raising vital money for pioneering heart research. We play the leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation so that it no longer becomes a major cause of disability and premature death.
Thank you to the many thousands of people in Swindon who have made a valuable and valued contribution to our continuing struggle. Your efforts are hugely appreciated.
Keith Smith Chairman, Swindon Branch British Heart Foundation
