THANK you so much for my tickets for the Royal International Air Tattoo. I was over the moon, flabbergasted and so chuffed!

I went to the Tattoo many years ago and always wanted to return but it did not happen.

I am a pensioner living alone and I’ve nearly served my three score and ten and ironically had no one to go with on that Sunday.

I jumped – yes jumped on the shuttle bus, off we went. This was my lucky day and also that of a man from Liverpool who had gone to the show without a ticket.

I told him my good fortune and about my spare ticket and his eyes lit up! He asked me how much it would cost him and I said if he wanted to stand me a pie and a pint it was his.

He eagerly gave me £20 and was over the moon. So everyone was happy, the day was absolutely fantastic.
