WHEN I asked if Gay Pride was still necessary, I wasn’t disapproving of it, merely asking if we had indeed reached equality.

I see from Steve Nibbs’ letter (August 16) that the answer is no we haven’t.

Hear hear to Rosemary Duff (August 13) and her assertion that we need to get the message across to the bigots and the ignorant that being gay is fine. I feel sorry for you, Mr Nibbs, that your heart is so full of hatred and bittterness.

Perhaps you should go along to Gay Pride next year? I went along this year and had a wonderful time.
