Ice Age the real threat
SUE Birley is correct when she says climate change is real because there have been five major Ice Ages and many minor ones in between.
The first Ice Age was over two billion years ago, and the most recent Ice Age ended 11,000 years ago.
200 million years ago during the Jurassic period the South Pole and Antarctica had a warm, pleasant climate that suited the dinosaurs.
It is true that over time the climate of the earth changes dramatically.
The real danger to mankind is not global warming but a mass extinction event resulting from the beginning of a new Ice Age.
