RE ‘HONEST beliefs disrespected’ (Adver letters, April 28) from Bill Williams, I, among others, found it amusing that Mr Avenell (that distinguished person placed upon a pedestal by number one fan Bill Williams for reasons peculiar to himself alone) at his advanced age was worrying about a robbery where the very wealthy of this two-nation state kept some of their wealth.

One would have thought at his age he would be more concerned with other exigencies that old mortals are heir to.

No-one who writes to the Adver is above criticism, me included.

It is noticeable that no other correspondent has criticised the letter, not even Frank Avenell! And the Adver published it.

Which tells us what about you, Bill Williams?

I find it rather rich of Bill Williams’s criticism when only a couple of months ago (March) he wrote a string of sexist jokes which female readers found upsetting and highly offensive and he has the blatant hypocrisy to criticise me!
