RE ‘DEATH-CRASH driver licence ban upheld’ of May 8, bravo to the top judges who rejected the death-crash driver’s appeal to have his 10 year driving ban reduced.
This is a ‘man’ who killed another man’s son and left the father with life-threatening injuries. Above all this ‘man’, having driven at excess speeds at 70-80mph, ran away from the scene of devastation only to be awoken hours later by the police. His initial comment to them?
‘That’s £9,000 down the drain then.’ Doesn’t that comment sum him up?
To me, the very fact that he appealed in the first place, is indicative of not being genuinely remorseful. Surely such a killer driver with blood on his hands through such atrocious driving, but apparently no conscience, would give up driving for life, even though he runs a car business as a means of genuine repentance.
Alas, no.
