I WOULD like to thank the residents of Parks for their support in electing me as their councillor.
I will, as I think I have for the past eight years, continue to represent you to the best of my ability, whether you voted for me or not.
I know that one of the major issues for you is the future of Coate Water Park.
I continue to be passionate for a Swindon University and I do not see another viable alternative than the gateway site. I do, however, take on board the need to safeguard Coate Water and Richard Jefferies Museum. Coate Water Park and Lydiard Park are of equal importance to the people of Swindon and I shall be fighting to ensure Parks residents are not forgotten.
Coate Water Park is the local park for Parks so facilities provided should reflect that. The development of the land for the university etc, will produce profits for the developer. Some of those profits must be directed towards improvements to Coate and the museum.
Other issues, such as Cavendish Square, public transport, personal safety and parking, I will continue to pursue as before.
