I CANNOT share the enthusiastic forecasts of Chief Executive Sir Mike Pitt that the population of Swindon will reach 250,000 by the year 2026 (SA May 11).
You can be quite certain that those responsible for creating this human anthill will not be residing within its borders.
Those citizens frustrated by lack of parking space today will be considered fortunate by the Swindon motorists of 2026.
Your correspondents who have inquired concerning the provision of water, sewage and hospital services are still awaiting answers.
The rapid expansion of Swindon has encouraged a corresponding increase in criminal activity which has impacted on the quality of life in this once pleasant town and which, because of uncontrolled immigration, is replicated throughout the UK.
