ONE of my cousins in England, and myself, are trying to find out what happened to our grandfather Alfred Hughes, who left our grandmother in Newcastle (as far as we can ascertain) after the Second World War, to work as an Editor to a newspaper in the south of England.
My father, also Alfred Ernest Hughes was the oldest of his three sons, the others are Ken and Geoff.
We were led to believe that he went to Swindon and took employment as an Editor to a newspaper in that region.
I have no photographs, but would really like to know what happened to him, so I can close that side of a loop in our family tree.
