BRITAIN has just celebrated the 70th anniversary of the miraculous Dunkirk evacuation of British troops from the second world war beaches in France.
Dunkirk was part a much larger battle to maintain Britain's status as an independent country.
In 1940 the people of this country considered Britain's independence a cause worth fighting for.
But in 2010 all the three main parties believe that Britain should be run by an EU federal government based in Brussels.
Were the sacrifices of the second world war all in vain, now that Britain's independence has been given away through a series of treaties with the European Union.
