I WANTED to let your readers know that I and 40,000 members of the National Childminding Association will be celebrating National Childminding Week from June 12 to 19. The week, which this year has the theme ‘Reaching the Right Notes’, will see childminders and nannies holding musical events in your area to highlight the work they do to support children and families locally.
This year a special song ‘An Ode to Childminding’ has been written by Piccolo Music and registered childminders, nannies and their children will be performing the song and making music at events all over England and Wales. Music and fun are just part of the varied activities and learning experiences a registered childminder can provide. So if you would like more information, or details of how to become a registered childminder or nanny, visit www.ncma.org.uk.
