MY heart goes out to Charlie Austin. The disgraceful Wembley pitch is clearly unfit for purpose and cost Charlie a certain goal. I will continue to boycott the stadium.
Swindon Town looked and played like Leeds United. Seeing the Reds in white was not a pretty sight.
Successfully predicting the 39th minute goal was the most bittersweet experience. So too is keeping my record of seeing Town win every time.
Commiserations to all the true supporters who will feel the pain of defeat. Similarly the fans who were abused by Millwall hooligans. It could be worse. I have seen Bristol Rovers fans turn on their own peers.
Expectations are high when you have never lost at Wembley. Now Town have this monkey off their back they will probably perform with less inhibition next time around. Hopefully in fewer than 17 years.
