I am compelled to write after reading about Dr George Hibbert (doctor faces being struck off, Adver, March 21).
I am disgusted, but sadly not surprised, to read that life changing decisions about the care of children may have been made based on flawed evidence. I personally have experience of this and it saddens me that it appears money speaks louder than a child’s welfare. Children are often forgotten about, often placed last in the court system, and social services should be ensuring that is not the case, as opposed to encouraging it.
These people earn an awful lot of money and the public need to have confidence in these sorts of professionals; their job is extremely important and we need them to do it right for our children.
