The letter from M Archer (April 2) exactly voiced my concerns about the removal of the Whalebridge roundabout, and its replacement with the new no right turn traffic system.
Shoppers trying to get into the town centre from Fleming Way find themselves diverted up Princes Street, and they now have to turn right at the new traffic lights at the Law Courts.
Everyone seems to find themselves in the wrong lane. This creates great danger to all traffic at this junction.
Very confused drivers try to instantly change lanes in busy Princes Street.
Even though I now understand the system, it causes me great stress getting into Swindon.
The cars in front of me are weaving about frantically, all changing lanes at once.
I feel there is danger all around me at this junction, and I now dread having to come into the Swindon town centre.
Steve Halden Beaufort Green Swindon Is it finished?
After reading letters regarding the Whalebridge Roundabout, am I to believe that the routes around this roundabout are complete?
Having manoeuvred the roundabout several times recently, I assumed that diversions were still in place and that a sensible layout was in the pipeline. If this is the completed project, then I am lost for words.
