AFTER 46 games, 73 goals and just two home defeats, this is it.

It comes down to potentially three matches to decide whether we will be playing at the Riverside Stadium or Spotland next season.

Tonight’s match against Charlton will be a fantastic occasion both on and off the pitch, with Sky Sports and plenty of other national media outlets descending on the County Ground.

On the pitch there will be two teams who have been in the top six practically all season, and both play good football.

It has all the makings of a classic game and I’m sure all the hours of queuing for tickets will have been worth it.

Charlton will bring a squad full of experience with them this evening who are used to the big games, and will be favourites in most of the pundits’ eyes.

But after seeing Town unluckily draw both games against the Addicks this season, I think we have a big chance to show the country that we deserve to be playing at Wembley at the end of May.

Tonight I’m sure that Charlton will come with a defensive mindset and try to hit us on the break, much the same way that Exeter played against us last month.

However, if we can play the same sort of football we have for most of the season and get Charlie Austin and Billy Paynter involved early in the game, then I’m sure we can take a lead to London on Monday.
