Motorists travelling through Swindon are being warned of several road closures this week.

Seven road closures are being planned which could result in delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Below is the full list of planned closures that those using the town's roads need to be aware of:

  • M4, from 9pm September 12 to 5am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 15 to 16 lane closure for electrical works.
  • A419, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 northbound carriageway closure between slip roads at A420 junction. Diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
  • A419, from 9pm September 19 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 northbound, carriageway closure between the slip roads at A420 junction. Diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
  • M4, from 10pm September 19 to 6am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 15 to 16 - lane closure for bridge inspection.
  • A419, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A419 northbound, from Commonhead junction to A420 junction. Full carriageway closure for expansion joint replacements at Lotmead, Nythe and A420 roundabout north/south.
  • A419, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A419 southbound, A420 junction to Commonhead junction. Full carriageway closure, carriageway closure for expansion joint replacements at Lotmead, Nythe and A420 roundabout north/south.
