Parking app woes
RE: Parking app already set up (SA, April 21) Ha! Ha! What Tosh.
On seeing the article, as an irregular user of the County Ground Car Park I thought it better to set up the app in the comfort of home in advance and not in the car park where wind noise, poor signal and traffic noise would hinder download etc.
But.. typical Swindon cock-up.
I can register .. fine But further down the registration process " set up payment" - absolutely no response to the button..
I wait; thinking system may be busy with others like me setting up as they see the article...
No response. Still no response. Wait.
Move next to server - no, dodo dead response.
Why why why oh why can these organisations not test and validate their systems before dropping them( unconsulted and unannounced) on the public?
I already have four parking apps on my phone.
Why can there not be a single universal system..?
Oh, yes, I forgot - the current systems leave space for scammers, chances and penalty charges from rogue apps.
