A grateful Swindon patient has written a letter of support thanking her local GP surgery.

Pamela Peake was so impressed by the service provided by doctors and staff at Eldene Surgery that she felt compelled to publicly compliment their efforts in the Adver.

She said: "I am writing to express my gratitude to my local GP Surgery for the care and support they have provided me over the last few months.

"In a time when healthcare professionals are under immense pressure, and receive a lot of bad press, Eldene Surgery has consistently been very supportive and reactive allowing me to get an appointment whenever I have needed one and always being so friendly and helpful.

"Whether it was a routine blood test or a more complex health issue, the doctors and nurses have always taken the time to listen carefully, explain medical conditions in an understandable manner, and offer thoughtful, comprehensive treatment plans.

"Their willingness to go above and beyond, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed, has made such a difference.

"Having read so many stories about bad service and inability to get appointments, I feel incredibly fortunate to have a surgery who not only excel in their medical expertise but also embodies the kindness and empathy that are essential in healthcare.

"I believe it is important to acknowledge and celebrate the invaluable contributions of healthcare professionals like Eldene Surgery's doctors and staff.

"Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to publicly express my appreciation."
